A resident of Chino hills since 1997, I have been active with the Chino Valley Young Marines since 2011. Father of two with one retiring from the Young Marines in 2018. “I have witnessed the self-confidence and growth among our members, which is why I continue to volunteer”.

A registered Staff Member for over two years. I enjoy working with the kids and watching them grow and develop as leaders.
My mission is to continue instilling the knowledge of discipline, leadership and teamwork in our youth.
My greatest Joy is watching Former Young Marines come back as adults and talk about the impact our program has made in their lives.

VETERAN (Gunnery Sergeant Retired)
Served active duty in the Marine Corps from 1995-2015.
Duties Include: Small Arms Repairer-Technician, NY City Recruiter, Weapons Repair Shop Chief, Armory Commodities Inspector and Assist Teams Leader, Maintenance Operations Section Staff, Range Officer, Range Safety Officer, and Competition in Arms Participant. Retired after 20 years of Honorable Service.
I have volunteered with various youth sports organizations, first time volunteering with the Young Marines program. I have personally seen what Mentoring, Leadership, and Self-confidence has instilled in children of various ages. Children growing up with positive intangible traits, which are taught and reinforced by the Young Marines Program, will develop a solid foundation to build on by developing a well rounded, productive, and resilient member of society.

Mr. Carlo has been on staff since January 2022.

Joseph Allard

Mr. Allard has been on board since June 2021. He has assisted in many capacities always bringing with him a positive attitude and enough energy for the rest of us.

Mrs. Allard joined our staff in September of 2022. She is responsible for the sizing and issuing gear to the Young Marines.

Amber Coute
(Navy)

Adult Volunteer

Mrs. Coute has been a volunteer with the Young Marines since February 2015. She has volunteered with various units under various billets. She is Navy Veteran who served as a Corpsman. She currently has a son in the Marines Corps serving in the Avionics field.

Jean Yi

Adult Volunteer

Ms. Yi joined our unit in January of 2024. She is a former Young Marines who was the Honor Graduate of her graduating recruit class as part of Southland Young Marines. She is currently attending UCI.

Joseph Ramos

Former Young Marine and now an Adult Volunteer. Mr. Ramos brings us a positive and cheerful attitude with a very strong voice that is quick to attain any recruits attention.
